What can the PNGCCI do for you?
Representation in Government Policy Making Bodies
In
recognition of its leadership in the promotion of private sector
interest in policy making bodies of government. PNGCCI remains as
the private sector forerunner in championing business advocacy. Thus
PNGCCI is given a hand in the process of government policy
formulation. It reviews legislative and government policies, and
with the interest of the business community in mind, PNGCCI works
out policy alternatives and conveys them to concerned government
agencies.
Opportunity to Participate in PNGCCI Standing Board/Committee
Membership in Board/Committee is a privilege granted only to PNGCCI
members. Involvement in PNGCCI board/committee keeps one abreast of
the issues and concerns besetting various industries or sectors.
Here, one gets the chance to directly influence the decision-making
processes within the chamber, which shapes PNGCCI’s positions
actions on local and international issues.
Access to Countrywide Business through the Provincial Chambers
The
PNGCCI has 13 members throughout the country: Port Moresby CCI, Lae
CCI, Western Highlands CCI, New Ireland CCI, East New Britain CCI,
Milne Bay CCI, Oro CCI, Sepik CCI, Sandaun CCI, Daru CCI, Madang CCI,
Goroka CCI, West New Britain CCI
Access to Trade and Industry Associations
The
Chamber also has a wide network of trade and industry associations
which serve as sounding board on issues and concerns of their
respective industries/sectors.
